Crossroads Inn
The Crossroads Inn was built about 18 years ago. It served briefly as a hotel that was capable of accommodating 50 guests. Its next incarnation was a rooming house and sadly it gained a reputation for illegal activity. Then in 2003 it was purchased by 2 local businessmen who set out to improve the property and conditions for the tenants.
Two years ago ASK Wellness leased the property and installed their own staff to help run things. The office area was turned into a meeting room and eating area. With the help of the federal and provincial government ASK Wellness bought the building in 2010. Crossroads is unique for containing program beds for the AASH program and Supportive housing as well as market housing. Plans are in place to revamp and renovate each space in turn when they are between tenants.
