Seniors Tenant Support Worker (Kamloops)

Reports to: Pam Pickering, Health Navigator

Hours: Temporary Full-Time Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:30pm) with ½ hour paid break) ASAP through to and including March 31st, 2019 with the potential of continued employment.

Hourly Rate: Range is between $17.51-$23.00/hr based on experience.

Benefits: Full Benefits after successful probationary period.

Vacation: Full-time employees are eligible for three weeks paid vacation in the first year and they may be taken after a successful probationary period. In the second year, this entitlement increases to four weeks. In the fifth year, the entitlement increases to five weeks. Each year after five years the entitlement is five weeks plus one day for every subsequent year to a maximum of six weeks.

Purpose and Function: The Tenant Support Worker works with Tenancy Development Program Team, Health Navigation Team, and the Rental Unit Maintenance Worker to provide supportive housing services through the Homeless Senior Tenant Development Program to reduce senior homelessness through a housing first approach to individuals who are at risk. Service delivery is based on a client centered, non-judgmental perspective.
